Thasneem makes the difference

Male’, MALDIVES – Mohamed Thasneem scored the only goal for Victory against BG Sports Club to beat them by 1-0 today in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

Victory started the game with defender Ali Niyaz after the suspension and their defense line was very solid with his role.

In the 25th minute Mohamed Thasneem broke the deadlock from a stunning shot just out side the box.

Omodu Godfrey missed a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 37th minute. His shot inside the box hits the side netting from a descent pass from Ismail Mohamed.

Thasneem penetrated the defense line of BG Sports and made a good shot but it was deflected for a corner.

BG Sports striker Ibrahim Shiyam hits the woodworks in the 60th minute from a powerful shot inside the box and Victory players cleared the ball from the danger zone.

Five minutes before the normal time, keeper Tholal was forced to block a stunning shot from Muaz just out side the box.

New Radiant Sports Club will play against TC Sports Club tomorrow in Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.
