Three points is important says Imma

Ismail Mahfooz said that it is very important to get three points if they want to qualify for the second round.

Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya’s coach Ismail Mahfooz (Imma) has said that winning the match against Arema Indonesia is very important to qualify for the second round of AFC Cup.

Speaking at the pre match press conference Imma said that it is very important to win this match if they want to qualify for the second round.

“If we want to qualify for the second round of the AFC Cup we must get three points against Arema.”

“I know they are very good so need to concentrate till 90 minutes and play a very discipline game against them.”

“Yes we didn’t play a single competitive match and this is not an excuse. We must respect the schedule of FAM and move forward as scheduled.”

Imma also highlighted that when playing in home ground they will take all possible advantages.

“They have some very good players specially their foreign players. Even they are good on any way we can score a win the goal in our home ground. We will concentrate on our defense and will do everything possible to take the advantages that we can take.”

Imma also reiterated that Faruhad Ismail was injured and he can use all other players from the squad.

On the other hand Arema Indonesia’s coach Suharno said that they are preparing for this match from the experiences that they got from the first two matches.

“From the experiences that we gain from the last two games in the AFC Cup we will try to win the game against Maziya.”

He also added that he is not happy with the current position of his team in the group.

“I am not happy with the current position of the group table. We want to be on the top of the table. So tomorrow we will try to win the game and it is very important match for us to win to achieve our target.”

“All our players are ready for this important match.”

“We can’t under estimate Maziya. They draw against Selangor away and they have proved that they are capable at this level.”
