Tom could be the president FAM never ever had but why now? Aren't you five or six years too soon? You are just few years into your into political career, and you are still learning the nitty-gritty of what it takes to be a good leader, what it takes to be a good administrator in a poisoned chalice that is Maldives politics. So why not fine tune the good attributes of how to be a good boss and come when you are ready to serve the game you played at the highest level. Acting on the impassioned advice of some people may not serve you all good if you lack requisite experience!

While I don't doubt Tariq's calibre and potential, i feel that given the dire situation our football is in, some one working full time needs to be in the job. Let alone, a parliamentarian will have too many things on his plate day in day out. Adding more to the busy schedule may not be too healthy. But if most of the clubs support this, guess it will turn out alright. Praying for Maldivian football to see better days in the close future. Best wishes to tom and may the best person win.
