Tough challenge ahead

Male’, MALDIVES – New Radiant head coach Ismail Anil has said that he will have a tough challenge when they start the campaign today to defend Dhivehi League.

Speaking at the pre match press conference held at National Football Stadium, Anil said when they play against AYL today the expectations of the supporters would be very high.

“We won all the matches in the League and all the trophies last year so when we start this season the expectations of the supporters would be very high and it will be a tough challenge for me.”

“My main aim is to win the league without a defeat and we are fully prepared for the season.”

Anil also said that all the eight teams competing in the league are good teams and they will not underestimate any team.

“All the teams are good teams and we will not underestimate our opponents.”

Meanwhile AYL coach Nashid said that their squad was changed when compared to last year.

“Our squad was changed when compared to last year and we will face some difficulties but we will try to get a point against New Radiant today.”

“New Radiant is one of the best teams in the country and they have almost all the players from the national team and they have played few games but this is our first match and we will face some difficulties.”

New Radiant will play against AYL today at 1600 hours at National Football Stadium.
