Male’, MALDIVES – United Victory has confirmed a place in the top flight of Maldives football for next year after winning the second division tournament today without losing a single match in both rounds.
Speaking to Maldivesoccer.com, United Victory’s presidents Mohamed Arif said that the reason for this achievement was the teamwork.
“We have being playing in the second division for a long time and the reason for this achievement is the team work of players, coaching staffs and the management.”
“Unlike other years we gave almost all the authorities to the coach and he has done what we all wanted for a long time.”
He also added that their main target in next year would be to maintain their position in the first division.
“Our main target would be to maintain our position in the top flight and the government and the FAM is helping the clubs at the moment and we want to use that chance to build the club.”
United Victory managed to get 28 points from two rounds and which is three points more than second placed Police Club.
This is the first time United Victory will be playing in the top flight.
