Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia has settled their pending payments to former player Elek Nobert last February, according to the club.
Speaking to maldivesoccer.com, Valencia’s Vice Chairman Bassam Adheel Jaleel said that they have cleared the debt for Elek Nobert, which is lodged in FIFA.
“We have settled the outstanding of Mr. Elek Nobert in February this year.”
“This settlement was made possible with the help of supporters and individual businessman such as Adam Manik, Amir (Salsa), Abdulla Rafiu (Root) and Ahmed (Fenfushi). And also we would like to thank STO and Ministry of Youth and Sports.”
Bassam also said that the due payment was USD 22,000.00.
“We have paid USD 22,000.00 (MVR 339,240.00) and still we have some debts but we are working on that as well.”
“He also thanked the continuous support and help from Ahmed Mohamed (Dhona), former manager Shibau, Rafiu and Maadey.
Alek Nobert, who played for the club in 2009 during the time when Abdulla Jabir was the chairman of the club, submitted the issue to FIFA as the club has unsettled payments to the player.
