Addu City, MALDIVES – Club Valencia managed to win their last game in this year’s Presidents Cup after beating Victory by 1-0 today in Hithadhoo Stadium, Addu City.

Ahmed Nishan opened the scoring in the 26th minute from a superb volley and he missed two golden chances to score after that.

Victory’s experienced midfielders, Ahmed Niyaz and Ahmed Mohamed made two good chances to score but unluckily they couldn't convert those chances to a goal.

Victory’s assistant coach Ahmed Mujathabaa said the only problem in this tournament is that the strikers didn’t convert the chances to a goal.

“Even in the first game we said that the strikers couldn't convert the chances they got to a goal and we didn’t have enough time to change that as well. We have to play game in every other day. But we will change that when we start the league.”

Valencia’s coach Mohamed Iqbal said that he is not happy for not achieving what they wanted.

“We are not happy with this and this is not what we targeted. We came here to play in the semi final at least.”

Semi final matches will be played on 26th and 27th of this month in Addu City.
