Valencia grabs first win

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia managed to win their first game in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi League after beating BG Sports by 2-1 tonight. Ahmed Rilwan and Yosuf Rameez scored for Valencia while Ahmed Ashfan scored the only goal gor BG Sports.

In the second minute of the game Ismail Juhain made a good shot inside the box but it was deflected for a corner kick.

Three minutes later Yoosuf Rameez missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock his shot inside the box went over the bar.

In the 31st minute, Valencia’s keeper Ifrah made another good save, Atapa Kazeem's shot was well blocked by keeper and from the rebounded ball Kazeem made another good shot but went inches away from the post.

Yoosuf Rameez broke the deadlock a minute before the break. His shot inside the box hits the far corner of the goal.

Both teams started second half with a change and within the first minute of the start of second half Azzam penetrated the defense line and made a good shot but hits the post.

Valencia’s Ahmed Rilwan doubled the lead in the 47th minute of the game. A superb performance from Muaz, who beat two players and assisted him.

In the 77th minute Ashfan scored from the spot to change the score line to 2-1. Referee awarded a penalty for BG Sports when Ahmed Nishan brought down Naavy inside the penalty area.

In the next match of the league Maziya Sports and Recreation Club will play against Victory Sports Club.
