Valencia into the final after penalty shootout

Valencia playing against VB Addu FC, Valencia won the match by 7-6 on penalties

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia has advanced to the final of the ongoing Youth Championship after winning today's semi final match against VB Addu FC by 6-7 on penalties.

In the 3rd minute of the match Ahmed Sujau of VB Addu FC broke the deadlock but in the 22nd minute Abdul Rahman Mohamed of Valencia leveled the game. Two minutes later Abdul Wahid Ibrahim of Valencia scored from a superb volley and took the lead for the first time.

Three minutes before the break Abdul Rahman Mohamed scored Valencia third goal of the match.

Thirteen minutes after the second half VB Addu FC’s Ahmed Sujau scored their second of the day and reduced the gap.

In the 76th minute Ismail Juhain Zahir of VB Addu FC leveled the game.

In the shoot out Valencia’s Abdul Wahid Ibrahim, Muan Moosa Manik, Ahmed Visam and Ansar Ibrahim Fulhu scored their spot kicks while, VB Addu FC Mohamed Vishah, Ismail Jujain Zahir and Ahmed Sujau managed to score from the spot while Ibrahim Rasheed and Hussain Zahir missed the penalties.

Club Valencia will face BG Sports in the final of the Youth Championship. The match will kick off at 1605 hrs at National Stadium on Thursday.
