Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia failed to confirm a place in the President's Cup when they were beaten by Victory Sports Club by 2-0 in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League today.

In the 8th minute, Hussain Shimaz broke the deadlock for Victory from a good assist from Awilo. Shimaz face keeper from a one on one situation and shot it into the top corner of the goal.

Shaffaz missed a good chance to level the game in the 21st minute, his shot went over the bar. And five minutes later Haneef’s free kick just outside the box went wide.

In the 39th minute, Victory keeper Athif Ahmed was forced to stop the shot from Mamdhooh.

A minute later, Viktor missed a good chance to increase the margin. Valencia players cleared the ball from the danger zone as he took so much time before making a shot inside the box.

Two minutes after the break Hussin Shimaz’s shot inside the box went over the bar.

In the 50th minute, Shimaz missed another good chance, his shot inside the box went wide.

Four minutes later, Awilo’s shot inside the box went wide while he was unmarked inside the box.

In thr 57th minute, Awilo penetrated the defense line of Valencia and scored a goal from a descent assist from Liyah but the flag was up against Liyah.

In the 70th minute, Hussain Nihaan doubled the lead from a powerful shot inside the box from a corner kick from Viktor. His shot went straight to the far corner of the net.

Victory Sports Club managed to get 23 points from 18 games and confirmed a place among the top four clubs in the league and confirmed a place in the Presidents Cup as well.
