Time has come to address the troubling presence of politicians in football. It does not appear they are in the powerful posts of the team for the good of the team, rather their interests supersedes that of the club. As soon as they think it has outgrown its utility they ditch it like somebody ditch his estranged wife, not for second bothered what havoc it would cause to the team already living off scraps at the bottom of the league. The last time Valencia had a similar scare they almost relegated. So why in the first place club owners welcome them with open arms when they are like temporary adventure seekers?

The answer to your question is: the prospect of money and power. It's all people care about in this country, nothing more, nothing less. Unfortunately, this cursed phenomena looks like it's here to stay for a while.
