Victory knocked out of AFC Cup

Male’, MALDIVES – Victory has been knocked out  of AFC Cup after ten men Al Tilal beat them by 4 – 3 in today’s AFC Cup play-off match. Martin of Al Tilal was shown a red card in 33 minutes. Al Tilal scored the first goal and was in front till the match ended in 4 – 3.

Adhuham got an early chance to take the lead. He tried to beat the defender and dribble into the box. The defender tackled the ball and keeper received the ball easily.

Al Tilal was awarded a penalty kick in the 16th minute. Faisal tackled the ball inside the box. Baleied scored from the penalty spot for Al Tilal.

Ramzi doubled the lead in the 31st minute. Keeper loose the ball while taking Thilal’s cross and Ramzi made no mistake to send the ball.

Victory scored their first goal in the 35th minute after they were awarded a penalty kick when Martin deliberately handled the ball inside the penalty area. He was shown a red card. Umair scored from the spot.

Al Tilal scored their third goal before the first half ended. Victory’s defense was very unorganized and Ramzi easily touched the ball into the goal from Thilal’s cross.

Victory scored their second goal in the 49th minute. Shafiu’s header ended at the top corner of the goal from Rilwan’s perfect cross.

Victory was handed their second penalty of the game in the 57th minute. Umair scored from the spot.

The winning goal was scored by Al-Roide after beating three Victory players to end the ball in the net.
