Male’, MALDIVES – Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) has continued their winning form after beating Iskandhar School PTA in the Women’s Championship 2012 match played in Henveiru Grounds today. DSC won the match by 1 – 0.

Fadhwa Zahir scored the only goal of the match from the spot in the 11th minute. Referee showed it for a penalty after Shimana Ahmed touched the ball inside the penalty area.

Both teams played equally and got numerous chances to score, but failed to utilize any of those chances.

Mariyam Mirfath of DSC won queen of the match.

Dhivehi Sifainge Club is leading the point table with 6 points from two games. L. Gan Thudi Society for Thudi Advancement and Recreation (STAR) is in the second position with 4 points. Sun Resorts and Hotels won the first match and are in the third spot. Iskandhar PTA managed to draw their opening match and has managed just one point. Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) is in the bottom of the table without a point.

In tomorrrow’s match Sun Resorts and Hotels will play against L. Gan Thudi Society for Thudi Advancement and Recreation (STAR). The match will kick off at 1625hrs at Henveiru Grounds.
