WC2012: DSC 3 - 2 STAR: DSC into the finals

Male’, MALDIVES – Dhivehi Sifainge Club (DSC) has confirmed a spot in the semifinals of the ongoing Women’s Championship after beating L. Gan Thudi Society for Thudi Advancement and Recreation (STAR). DSC won the match by 3 – 2.

The opening goal of the match was scored by Faduwa Zahir in the 13th minute. Her strike outside the penalty area braced the top bar before it entered in to the goal.

Mariyam Mirfath scored the second goal from the edge of the penalty area. Five minutes later Aishath Shaalee scored the first goal for STAR.

Captain of Dhivehi Sifainge Club, Aminath Azeema scored from another long range shot to increase their lead in the 55th minute. Four minutes later Aishath Samaa scored the second goal for STAR.

Faduwa Zahir won the queen of the match.

In tomorrow’s second semifinal match Sun Hotels and Resorts will play against Iskandhar PTA. The match will kick off at 1625hrs at National Stadium.
