Male’, MALDIVES – Myanmar head coach Avramovic said the red card shown to their player wasn't a correct decision and the score was their result of fighting for justice.
“I don’t think it was a red card. In modern world we watch the videos and I am sure it was not a hand ball.”
“I thank the players for their hard work and I am sure they worked hard to get justice as we were one man down at an early stage of the game.”
Myanmar’s head coach Avramovic has said that the win against host nation of AFC Challenge Cup 2014, Maldives is a fully deserved win with 10 players.
“I think we fully deserved to win this game because we were playing against Maldives with 10 players for more than 75 minutes and it’s very difficult to play like that.”
“It’s good to win the first game and let’s see what happen in the next game and we have seen the performance of other two teams today and they are also very good teams.”
Speaking at the post match press conference Avramovic said it was an interesting game for the supporters with many goals.
“First I would like to congratulate Maldives team and I think it’s an interesting game for the supporters with many goals.”
“We got two or three clear cut chances to score goals at an early stage of the game and we tried to work hard and won the game and in the end we have achieved it.”
Myanmar won the match against Maldives by 3-2 and their next game is against Palestine.
