Male’, MALDIVES – Bengaluru FC head coach Ashley Westwood has said that they need a point against Maziya in the AFC Cup group E match here in the Maldives.

“We want to win the group and which will give us some advantages in the second round so we need to win the game or at least a point will confirm a place in the second round. The outcome is on our hands and which is always good.”

Westwood also said that they have analysed the match videos of Maziya during the other games in AFC Cup and they are fully prepared for the game.

“It's going to be a tough game against Maziya and we have done lots of home work like watching the previous games of Maziya and it will be a tough game.”

“Maziya’s striker from Spain is a dangerous player and number 10 (Asadhulla) is also a good player.”

When asked about the overall performance during the season he showed his happiness towards their performance.

“I am happy with the performance of the team this year and we lost just four games this season. Which is a good thing for the team.”

On the other hand, his counterpart Ali Suzain, Maziya’s head coach said their main target is to win the game against Belangaluru FC.

“We don't want to talk about second round now, we are concentrating only on tomorrow's game against Bengaluru FC for the time being. Without this match we can't talk about second round.”

Suzain also added that he will miss his defender Zhivko in tomorrow’s game due to injure.

“Our defender zhivko is injured and he won't play in this match but there are few players who can fill that gap. I'm sure we can get a good result against this team in this stadium.”

“Bengaluru FC is a strong team and specially with a player like Sunil Chhetri the team is much better. He is a deadly striker specially in the box so we need to concentrate a lot on him.”
