Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya’s head coach Ali Suzain has said that they will play for a win against New Radiant in the first match of the second round of Dhiraagu Dhivehi League.

Speaking at the pre match press conference held at National Football Stadium, Suzain said that his main target is to win the game and get three points.

“It’s very important for us to get three points against New Radiant tomorrow. If we managed to get three points against them we can maintain a good lead in the top of the table.”

Suzain also highlighted about the injured players in his team when facing against New Radiant.

“But we have to play this game against a different team tomorrow. Five of our key players are injured and it will be a tough one. But I am sure that we can replace those players from our squad.”

When asked about the appointment of a foreign coach by New Radiant, Suzain said that he will take time to know the players.

“Even if they play with a foreign coach tomorrow it’s not a big thing for me. For sure he needs time to prepare his team and to know the players he has. So I am quite confident that in tomorrow’s game Maziya can replace the injured players.”

“I won’t change my game plan against New Radiant tomorrow. We will use the same tactics that we used in the previous games.”

Meanwhile, New Radiant’s manager Wisham said that they will fight for a win against Maziya tomorrow.

“We will fight for a win and our players are ready for this match. The players are not demotivated and we have to accept that we lost against Maziya in our last match and that is something that we didn’t expect.”

“Our main target is to dominate throughout the game. Anil will work with the team and from today new coach, Mika will lead the team.”

Wisham also said that the return of Ali Fasir from the suspension will be a good boost for the team.

“Fasir will play in tomorrow’s game and it will be a good boost for the team. He is a very important player for the team and his return will boost the confidence of the players.”

“There are few injured players including Shamveel and Akram but we hope that Shamveel will play in tomorrow’s game.”

New Radiant will play against Maziya tomorrow at 1600 hours at National Football Stadium.
