Many believed your form was not very good in last year's Asian Games! Any absolute reasons for that?

Yes! I know I performed terribly bad during the Asian Games. I really did not like the goal keeper’s training. It was not suited to my understanding and how I play. So it really affected my mentality 

Why do you think we had such a huge loss in the Asian Games?

We only prepared for one game. Our mentality was set to play as a defensive game for the Iranian match. We never played an attacking game and it was difficult to change against India. So that’s the reason why we had a disappointing tournament 

There were speculation, that you will join New Radiant...

I told Victory about some of the things I wanted and I said if they agree to fulfill all of it I would stay. And for New Radiant I said I would give an answer the next day which I announced. That night when I went for the ceremony (Victory's awarding) they agreed to do everything I asked for. So I agreed to play for Victory.  

Did any other team showed interest on you?

Yes! Very recently VB also asked me to join them and it was for a huge salary. But now I am a victory player and would be playing for them 

Any other reasons to stay with Victory?

In all the past seasons , our target was to qualify for AFC Cup and after such a hard work it was not so easy to say good bye. I want to take the team to AFC Cup and go to the finals. 

How did you start to play football?

At first I started to play for Eagles in 1999. I played for the first year for free and the next year for MRF 2000 per month. Later I changed to Victory in 2001 and after that am playing for Victory? 

Any happiest day in your career?

When we qualified for AFC Cup 

Sadest?

When we lost the league (Dhivehi League in 2006) in the last moment. It brought tears. 

Who helped you most to improve your soccer skills?

Inthi, Ammadey and Thoufeeq of Eagles and now Suzeynu and Maattey 

Do you believe that goal keepers could earn as much as other players?

Yes! They are one of the key players in the team. One day one of the key officials came to me and asked me to join the club and when I told my salary he said it is not worth for a goal keeper. I was really frustrated that day. If goal keepers do a single mistake it could be a goal against the team. How important can he be? 

We rarely see a good young goal keeper. Any reason for that?

Because there aren’t good goal keeper trainers and the youth development programme, the kids do not get the chance to play in that department 

Are you willing to help the youth development?

Yes! I would be very glad to. But FAM should ask me to do it. If so I would do it. This time even I gave Ifrah a programme to help him improve his level.  

Will you play for a foreign club?

Yes! That’s a dream I have. After the Korea match (in World Cup Qualifying) some person from LG sponsored team came and asked me about my information. But he did not understand English and I did not understand Korean. So it went unrecognized.  

There were some rumours about a Singapore club showing interest on you?

Yes! I heard it very lately. It was said that some of the officials of FAM also knew about it. But I was not informed anything about it. I was very sad when I came to know about it 

Is it true that you said you will not play for National Team if you get suspended by FAM for what happened in last year's abandoned president's cup match between New Radiant and Victory?

Yes! I would have done it. Because it would have been very unfair. You cannot penalize people after saying because I penalized the other person I am penalizing you. 

How do you feel when a goal is scored against you?

I get really devastated. My heart really stops at that time.
