Gerd and the players at yesterday's practice

Male', MALDIVES - New Radiant who is yet to win a point in this year’s AFC Cup is all set to do it tomorrow by winning the game against India’s Mahindra United. New Radiant is out of the competition while Mahindhra has a chance of qualifying to the next round if they win tomorrow's encounter. But according to New Radiant coach Gerd, they are all set out for revenge in tomorrow's clash.

"Back in Goa the last time, the referee was on their side and they got that luck. There were so many fouls, from behind on to our boys' legs but there were no cards shown by the referee that time. "

'The referee gave exaggerated extra minutes to play and they scored in extra 5th minute. So this time we are set to take revenge"

Gerd also said the mentality and the football they played in Hong Kong proves that they have a chance of winning tomorrow's match

"The football we played in Hong Kong was fantastic. We controlled the game in the second half, but could not score. So we have a good chance of winning tomorrow"

He also explained that Tom would not be included in the first eleven in tomorrow's match
"There are better players who have improved in the practices. Tom does not have many practices. He might be used in the later part of the match but not in the first eleven for sure"

New Radiant has faced many criticisms for their performance in the AFC Cup this year, but winning this year’s FA Cup again confirmed them a spot in next year’s AFC Cup.

Mahindra United lies at the second position of the group with 9 points and if they beat New Radiant tomorrow, they will have a relatively good chance of advancing to the next round.
