Eugene can be seen in Dhiraagu Dhivehi League

Male', MALDIVES- VB sports decided to test three more foreign players in order to strengthen their squad. Club CEO Gahthaan Haleem confirmed that three foreign players coming on next Thursday are all from Thailand League and they played against VB sports during VB’s pre season tour last month.

The new trial period is also a target to inject the club with quality foreign players. Once the trial period is over, the club will keep only three players selected by the coach. Currently the club has three foreign players and they are; Toth Tamas, Sipos Adam and Ogbodogbo Onome Peter.

“The new three players will arrive this week. Only the best three will stay with the club and we have to send back the others” Gahthaan said.

Before the season starts, VB tried to sign former IFC player Eugene but it did not materialize. But optimistic Gahthaan still hopes Eugene can be seen in Dhivehi League.

“There is a chance of Eugene coming for Dhivehi League. He couldn’t come before due to a personal matter and we brought other players, not to wait on him” Gahthaan added.

Gahthaan also confirmed that their players backed club’s decision of giving the trial to the three new players, believing the new comers can give a good fight in AFC cup.
