Disappointed Gerd: believes the mistakes handed the defeat

Male', MALDIVES -
Disappointed New Radiant coach Gerd believed mistakes handed them another defeat in AFC Cup and also revealed more internal problems within the club than what they faced on the pitch. New Radiant was thrashed to a 3-0 defeat against SAFFC and the game also show the dismissal of midfielder Adam Shareef and club’s officials effort to control the frustrated player.

“First my apology for Adam’s behaviour” Gerd started.

“We will give a punishment (to Adam) from the club” He added.

Gerd’s major worry was the player’s inability to clear high balls and get the control in the midfield.

“After the FA cup final, we trained to clear high balls, but they (players) didn’t do well and instead made mistakes and we are punished for that”

Gerd believed the formation he opted was the best choice for the club in order to stop the opponent’s midfielders.

“I have to stop this Thailand midfielder (Chaiman) and their other midfielders”

“They played so well against Perak and this would be the best formation to stop them, I have no other choice”

“We don’t have a striker. Daniel is not a striker, but I think he is the best choice as he can control and pass the ball to others”

Gerd was frustrated after seeing a poor performance from Sri Lankan international, Sadun.
“I went crazy; I don’t know what to say about his performance. You can see from last two games, he made so many mistakes”

For the absence of their striker Shimaz (Kokky), Gerd said: “I don’t know where he is, he didn’t come to the practices for three days”

A moment of Stupidity and madness from Adam..I highly urge NRSC to get adam checked by a psychiatrist..And its really strange that the coach does not even know where kokky is?..Azim, niya and Ayya what are you guys doing?.If you cannot manage NRSC why dont u just leave rather then humiliating us supporters..From the begining of the season NRSC should have tried to get a maldivian goal keeper, so that they can have three foreign players playing in other positions like a forward.last year Ashfag was their but once he left they did not bother to get a replacement for him..Sadun is a disgrace and should be send back, even Duckey would be better then him at the moment.

Evry year New Radient try hard and qualify for AFC cup and then they bring humor into dhivehi futuboalha...yes they bring MINUS GOALS with them and makes maldivian footballers ashamed!

Looks like Suzeyn was right about Gerd. So far it doesnt look like that New Radiant will win a point in the AFC cup like last year! The management needs to think about this seriously. It would be better to even change the management team

As speculated, the main problem with New Radiant is not in their squad. It is in their management. New Radiant SC played with a very strong and 1st Team in the FA quater final against Thoddu Team, which lead to many injuries to key players ahead of an important AFC game. I attribute the poor performance to the inability from the managements' side to plan and use their squad wisely. Player's need proper rest to stay fit. I am not convinced that Gerd is managing the squad. It is customary (in maldive), that other management and board memebers interfere in team selection.
This is quite evident on the pitch, if you look at the bench from time to time

i think new radiant must opt to a maldivian young keeper like ifraah from maaziya and it is believed that an international team must have four super classed foriegn players.after all new radiant has less options available with thier bench so they need to find more skillfull players

you guys better keep sadhun on the bench or send him back to Srilanks and give chance for hassan hameed (21) he will perform much better then sadhun... i feel shamed becasue of the 2005 semi-finalist performance in this tournament... ??? sorry guys... this is the truth...

Its time for Mr. Gerd to leave the club. His in incapable of controlling any of the international matches, and only expects for lucks.
