Transport ministry’s Mazhar Abdullah’s stupid reaction towards the referee ended the player being punished from the tournament. Transport lost the game against Bank of Maldives by 2-0 and during the game Mazhar was yellow carded for his protest on referee’s decision and then the player hit the referee which cost him another yellow followed by a red.
Tournament’s disciplinary committee then met and decided to suspend the player for the rest of the tournament. And if Mazhar is included in any team in next year’s tournament, he can only play paying a fine of 100 rufiyaa.
A total of six matches were played yesterday and in the first game Radio club and Theemuge match was ended 4-4.
NNCB easily crushed Meteorology by 6-0 and NNCB’s Mohamed Imran, who scored four goals, named as the man of the match.
President’s office outclassed Nasandhra Palace by 4-0 and TVM won their game against Planning Ministry by 3-2.
The last game of the day was played between People’s Majlis and Health Ministry, which Health won by 3-1.
Tournament’s next match day would be 7th of April.
