Maldives FA facing a court case

Male', MALDIVES - Reports say that Maldives FA or Football Association of Maldives will face a court case today regarding a suspension of a local soccer coach. Both the coach and the Association has confirmed that the first hearing of this case will held today.

Ismail Asif, coach of second division champion Vyansa, was suspended by Maldives FA after the violance in their last match in Dhivehi League Qualification played on 30th June. IFC won that match by 3-2, which closed all the doors for Vyansa to participate in Dhivehi league.

Players and supports of Vyansa tried and some attacked the officials of that match and due to this behaviors Maldives FA suspended their coach along with three players and another two officials for one season. (click here for the detail news about this) .

Asif's lawyer claims that the suspension was given without any notice and it was not monitored carefully and Maldives FA was not responded Asif's any query regarding this matter.

Ismail Asif or Kuda Heena as many soccer fans know him, was a great player of his time and holds an interesting bookings rate in his long soccer career. He was booked less than five times in his whole career and missed only one match due to two bookings and no red card was shown to him. He was also a former captain of Maldives senior National team. Local clubs he played include, Valencia, Orchid and New Radiant.
