MALDIVES - Few
hours after his first practice with a Maldivian club, Valencia coach
Eric Williams shared his view about his new club with maldivesoccer.
In his interview he notified that few of the major players are still
missing from the practices and he would have a better understanding
of the players after they join.
‘Obviously I noticed that there are some very good players
with good tactics. But some need a lot of improvement. I would try
it in this week’
He also said that some of the players would be deducted and the
final squad would be selected at the end of this week.
'I would finalize the final squad at the end of this week. Players
who aren't good enough to play would have to leave by then’
Valencia’s foreign players are expected to join in 10 days
time and they will participate in the practices by then.
‘These players are playing in Indonesia, Australia and Singapore.
So obviously they would be fit. So I just have to continue with
the schedule’
When asked about the training schedule, he mentioned that he have
asked the management regarding the facilities and the schedule would
be finalized after a reply from the management.
‘I have asked for some facilities. Once it is finalized I
would finalise the training schedule. This week we would train once
a day, but later we would change to twice a day’
