How did u start to play football?

I came from the island and then played in Galholhu Madharusa. Then I was selected for under 16 and later to Under 19. After that I started to play for victory in 2006.

Why did u opt to play for Victory?

I really love to play for Victory. No other reason.

Were there any offers for u except Victory this season?

Yes! VB Sports and New Radiant also offered me.

Were there salaries higher than the Victory?

Yes! VB offered me 90,000/- but I wanted to play for Victory so I made up my mind. It is not only money that counts right? New Radiant also offered to come during the middle of last season.

Who do you believe that helped you the most to develop your career?

My father and Lirqaaam Saeed. He helped me to get in to Under 16 and then later on. He is a great help for me.

How do you think of the bond between players in Victory compared to other clubs?

It is great. We all have fun during practices and the management does their best to bring us together. They organize various meetings and keep us informed. I would say Victory has the best management. I may not have played for another club, but hearing what other players say, Victory has the best management.

What is your dream in football?

To be the best Maldivian Footballer.

Will you move to another foreign club if you get a chance?

I have to think about it.

Which player is the most difficult to beat?

Dhagandey and Oppo.

How about foreigners. You have played against a lot of forieng players

Iranian number 10, Arash

The best moment of 2006

The day we qualified for AFC Cup

The worst moment of 2006

The day we lost Dhiraagu Dhivehi League

What would you say about the discipline of the players?

I give a high priority for it. Discipline is a key factor in our game.

Do you think your physique is a weak point?

I don’t think so. But I guess there is a week point that is because I am too short for a typical defender. But the thing is I never wanted to play as a defender and had never thought of it. But I had to play in that position for Under 16 and from that day onwards I am playing as a defender!

How about now?

I wish I could play as a midfielder.
