Kaleem appoints as the new chairman

Male', MALDIVES - According to reliable sources, Mohamed Kaleem has accepted the chairman's post and has been appointed by Ministry of Youth and Sports. The chairman's post has become vacant as the previous Chairman Abdul Shukoor resigned from the post after he was appointed as a state minister.

In an executive committee meeting held on 27th July with the full support of the committee, Mohamed Kaleem was nominated for the post. The chairperson of the executive committee Ibrahim Ismail informed Mohamed Kaleem of his nomination who was in Singapore at that time.

Mohamed Kaleem spoke to maldivesoccer.com on the day of his nomination and assured that he would serve to improve the football in Maldives.

"Even now I am trying my level best to help Maldivian football and I would not hesitate to provide any help to improve the football in Maldives and to help build it. That aim has never changed in my entire life"

Maldivesoccer.com tried to contact Mohamed Kaleem of his appointment, but he was unable to reach at the moment. We would be bringing more details.
