Aafathis awards: CWC best five revealed

Male', MALDIVES - Aafathis newspaper has revealed aafathis award’s best five players for the Cup Winners Cup 2007. The best five players include three players from Valencia and two players of New Radiant.

Aafathis awards nominees for cup winner’s cup best player are Mohamed Jameel, Azim Hussain and Mukhthar Naseer of Club Valencia and New Radiant and National team captain Assad Abdhul Ghanee and Shamveel Qasim of New Radiant.

Aafathis Assistant editor, Hussain Fariyaz said to maldivesoccer.com that last year’s awarding ceremony will be more colorful than previous ones and the trophies are also being changed this time.

“We will have a more colorful event. We have also changed the design of the awards to make it more attractive”

The events would be live on TVM and DhiFM. It would also be webcasted by maldivesoccer.com, raajekulhivaru and aafathisnews.com

The event also has been postponed to 16 th of February and would be held in Dharubaaruge Rannabandeyri Maalan.

Aafathis awards, Cup Winners cup best player is sponsored by TNC and the winner will be awarded a cash prize and trophy.
