Male’, MALDIVES - Dhivehi Sifainge Club has edged past Sun Hotels and Resorts Pvt Ltd in their opening match. Dhivehi Sifainge Club won the match by 1 – 0.

The only goal of the match was scored by Fadhwa Zahir in the 51st minute. The goal was scored from a free kick near the edge of the penalty area.

Dhivehi Sifainge Club got the opportunity to double the lead in the dying minutes of the game when one of their strikers crossed the ball into the penalty area. But Aminath Zahiya of Sun Hotels and Resorts cleared the ball from the goal line.

Queen of the match was won by Fadhwa Zahir.

In tomorrrow’s match L. Gan Thudi Society for Thudi Advancement and Recreation Society will play against Maldives Broadcasting Commission. The match will kick off at 1625hrs.
