Male’, MALDIVES – Maziya Sports coach Ali Suzain has said that tomorrow’s game against Yangong United in AFC Cup is a must win match for them.
Maziya lost their first game against Mohan Bagan by 5-2 while Yangong won their first match against South China by 2-1.
“We lost our first match and this will be a good opportunity for forget the bitter result in our first game.”
“They have played nearly 10 competitive game and they are in a good shape but this will be our second match and it will be a big problem for us. And also Yangong is not a new one for this stadium so based on these things I can say it will be a tough test for us.”
Suzain also reiterated that they have player who can replace skipper Asadhulla Abudlla and Mohamed who were injured.
“Ismail Easa or Moosa Yamin can replace Umair and Ahmed Rasheed can replace Asadhulla but we don’t have a player who can replace Ashad Ali. He is not fit and I can give just 1% that he can start the match tomorrow. He did just three training sessions after his release from the cell.”
Meanwhile Yangong coach, Marjan Sekulovski said that the match against Maziya will be a tough match for them.
“It will be a tough match for us as they are having 14 national team players and their combination will be very good and they know very well each other. I can say that we are playing against Maldives national team.”
“I can say that the Maldives teams are getting good results in AFC Cup and Maziya is one of them.”
“Yes we played 10 games and it will help us to improve our match fitness but whoever work hard on the pitch will win tomorrow’s game.” Marjan said.
Marjan faced four times against Maldives clubs in AFC Cup and he lost to Maziya in 2013 while managed to win against New Radiant at National Stadium.
Maziya will play against Yangon United tomorrow at 1600 hours at National Stadium.
