VB captain, Ashad Ali has joined BG Sports in a one year deal

Male’, MALDIVES – VB sports skipper and national team players Ashad Ali has signed a one year deal with the newly promoted BG Sports to the top flight. Speaking to maldivesoccer.com after the transfer Ashad Ali (Adubarey) said that he got offers from other clubs but BG’s offer was good.

“I got offers from other clubs but BG’s offer was very good. And also some other good players have joined with BG and I guess they can give a good fight to the other teams.”

He also said that he wants to be in a challenging team who could compete against bigger teams.

“I want to challenge with other big teams. It’s easy to be with New Radiant and play for them this season. They have a very good team but I want to challenge.”

Earlier New Radiant announced that Ashad Ali has principally agreed to join them for the upcoming season. But later they released him based on a mutual agreement.

BG Sports Club, who will be competing in the top flight for the first time got some good players. The players who has joined with them includes Mohamed Shaffaz (Sappe), Keeper Yamaan, Adam Fazeeh, Ahmed Rilwan, Mohamed Hussain and Ahmed Ashfan.

The reason is clear, it is not "challenge" that you did not sign for NRSC. It was the reason you would not be able to have the Jersey number "9". Who would believe, you cannot challenge when they play AFC cup next year? and to maintain the results of this year? Rest of the teams would definitely play to beat them too.

hmm...i thought that was the only club that was willing to include a clause in the agreement saying jersey number 9 shall only be urs and urs alone...
