Eagles back to the second position

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles regain the second position of Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League after beating Club Valencia by 2-1 today.

League leaders Maziya got 20 points from 9 games while Eagles got 17 points 9 games. TC Sports Club got 14 points 9 games.

Hansey Awilo broke the deadlock for Valencia in the 8th minute of the game from a good shot.

Akram Abdul Ghani missed a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 15th minute after picking a descent pass from Adhuham and shot it into the gloves of the keeper.

Imran Nasheed leveled the game for Eagles in the 18th minute from a powerless shot inside the box.

Rizuwan took the lead for Eagles in the 76th minute after receiving a descent pass from Imran Nasheed.

Seven minutes before the normal time Riste’s stunning free kick was blocked by keeper Faisal and he save the second attempt from the rebounded ball as well.
