Palestine reach Final

Male' MALDIVES: Palestine has registered their name in the final of the AFC Challenge Cup 2014, after beating Afghanistan 2 - 0 in the semifinal match played today.

Six minutes in to the game Abujazar missed a golden opportunity to score. Abusalah sent a nice through ball between the defenders to Abujazar and he shoots freely inside the box, but Keeper came to rescue Afghanistan.

Six minutes later Albadhari well headed a corner from Alfawaghra but his spotted header went direct in to keeper's gloves.

Abuhabib was cautioned with a yellow card in the 20th minute for a dive inside the penalty area when he was clashed with Afghan skipper Haaroon.

Three minutes remaining in the first half Palestine was awarded with a penalty kick as Alfawaghra was brought down inside the penalty area by Sakhizada. Alfawaghra gifted the lead for Palestine after converting the penally to his right bottom corner of the goal.

Just two minutes in to the second half Alfawaghra doubled the lead for Palestine. Alfawaghra escaped from a offside trap and paste his shot in to the bottom corner of the goal.

After a tight play, most in midfield but no open chance in the second half, match ended with 8 minutes of added time which took Palestine to the final of the AFC Challenge Cup 2014.

Group-B winner Philippines will play against how Maldives in the second semifinal of the tournament tonight at 21:00pm.
