SAFF Suzuki Cup: Afghanistan 4-0 Bangladesh

Trivandrum, INDIA – Defending champions of SAFF Suzuki Cup, Afghanistan kicked off the tournament with a fine display against Bangladesh to win the match by 4-0.

Afghanistan broke the deadlock in the 29th minute from a wonderful header from the centre back Saighani from a corner.

Three minutes later Faysal doubled the lead after chipping the ball over the keeper.

Zubair Amiri changed the score to 3-0 just five minutes before the break from a descent shot inside the box.

Afghanistan’s fourth goal came in the 70th minute from substitute player Khaibar Amani from his second attempt on target.

Afghanistan will play against Bhutan on Saturday.
