I'd day this tournament has achieved some success so well done to FAM, all the islands and players, coaching staff and especially the football loving patriotic fans. One obvious outcomes of this tournament would be the identification of sine great talents such ad Mahudhee from Feydhoo and Ihusaan from F. Maathoda. There's already talk of these and other players signing to join D. League Clubs. One thing I feel is the clubs the have played fo so far should get some financial reward from any clubs buying the star players even if there's no formal agreement as such between players and their island teams. For those teams have put a lot of effort and sacrifice in getting as team together and making the tournament a success. On a different but equally important point, I feel we are making the same mistakes embedded in history if we are h th ping up only strikers in the tournament. At national level, we have more Tha enough hood strikers. What we need is to bring to the foreground those hardworking defensive midfielders, playmakers, defenders and goalkeepers from the top 4 teams. If we can do that the tournaments can have a long-lasting impact on our football at national and international level. Congratulations to Feydhoo and well done to F. Maathodaa for the never-die spirit.

How come a very nice goal, a goal of top class we usually associate with Ashfaq in his pomp, was not mentioned in the news piece. It was reminiscent of the goal Ashfaq had scored against Pakistan in a friendly in Male.

Am I the only one who is disappointed at the appalling lack of coverage of this competition? This was a great opportunity to give some exposure to the super talented players from outside Male', and we failed.

Congratulations to Feydhoo and all Adduans! It was a real joy to see both the teams, especially Feydhoo play with such flair, determination and confidence. The footy was beautiful and great team work!
