Ali Umar to continue with New Radiant, Fazeel leaves

Male’, MALDIVES – According to reliable sources, maldivesoccer.com can confirm that New Radiant has signed a one year deal with their key player Ali Umar for next season. Ali Umar who was believed to retire at the end of this season performed outstandingly.

Maldivesoccer.com also could confirm that New Radiant has stopped negotiations with Ibrahim Fazeel (Oppo) on mutual understanding. It is believed that two other clubs are in negotiations with the national team midfielder.

Earlier speaking to maldivesoccer.com Ali Umar said that if he decides to play next year, he would play for New Radiant.

"If I am going to play next season it would be New Radiant. I will not play for any other team.”

New Radiant are also in talks with another senior team player, but has not reached to an agreement.

When contacted by maldivesoccer.com New Radiant Chairman Ali Waheed refused to comment and said that the signings will be unveiled in New Radiant's gold night which will be held tomorrow night in Dharubaaruge.

Earlier, New Radiant has agreed in principle with five new players for the upcoming season. Ashad Ali (Adubarey), Niyaz (Bokuree), Umair, Yaameen, Rilwan (Riley) have agreed in principle with New Radiant.
