Hanim resigns from Valencia after he was appointed to work at FAM.

Male’, MALDIVES – Club Valencia’s manager and sports director, Mohamed Hanim has resigned from the post after he was assigned as the acting Secretary General of Football Association of Maldives.

Speaking to maldivesoccer.com today Hanim said that the reason for his resignation was that currently he is doing a very important work at Football Association of Maldives (FAM).

“Currently I am doing a very important work at FAM, and in my point of view it’s not good to work with a club at the same time.”

“Doing the administrative work at the governing body of football and working at a club as a manager at the same time is not ethical. So, I have resigned from Valencia”

Hanim also said that before this decision was taken he had discussed with the management of Valencia and they are very supportive.

“Before this decision I had discussed with the top management of Valencia and they are very positive and supportive to me.”

Hanim was appointed as the manager of Valencia on 9th January this year. After his appointment Hanim said that he is very happy to work in a team like Valencia who works very professionally.

Hanim must have held the valencia manager's post for the shortest time. I think he is now destined to become the general secretary of FAM. Previously it was heavily rumoured that the GS would be Addo, but since the election the tune has changed. I guess Hanim would be selected because he is from PPM. Though everyone claims that football is not co-related to politics, this is just plain proof that it is the case. After all, in my opinion, Addo is more capable than Hanim for this post. I await and see the final outcome.
