Brazilian striker joins New Radiant

Male’, MALDIVES – Defending league champions New Radiant Sports Club has signed a Brazilian striker named Joelton Jonathan Sampaio (Jo) to replace the Maldives ace striker Ali Ashfaq, who joined Malaysia’s DPRM FA.

According to New Radiant Jo was playing for the second most successful club in the Nicaraguan league with 13 league titles and also the champions since 2011, Real Esteli before joining Blues. And also Jo has played for various clubs in the Brazilian second, third and fourth division.

New Radiant has released three foreign players this week and also they managed to capture the signatures of Ibrahim Fazeel, Shafiu Ahmed and Mukhuthar Naseer.

New Radiant has appointed Real Madrid’s veteran defender Perez Garcia as their new coach.
