Male', MALDIVES - Valencia’s Vice Chairman Bassam Adheel has told that they are trying to settle the outstanding of the FIFA by the end of this month and then try to build the team for the upcoming season.
Speaking to maldivesoccer.com Bassam said that they are in a crisis and still have to settle the payments to FIFA.
“We are in a crisis since last season and we are trying to settle the payment to FIFA for Alek Nobert’s salary.”
He also reiterated that they can’t bring famous players and even don’t want to talk about it without paying the outstanding.
“We can’t bring high profile players at this time. At least we are trying to have a team who can manage to be in the top six.”
“Our first priority is to settle the debt of the club and we hope that we can manage it within this month.”
Bassam also said that they in talks with a foreign coach but they will finalize it after clearing these debts.
“We are in talks with foreign coaches but we can’t do anything before clearing these debts.”
He also added that they are in talks with some well known people to help the club.
