Comfortable win for TC Sports

Male’, MALDIVES – TC Sports Club’s Ali Fasir scored the first hat trick of Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League this season against Victory Sports Club and helped his team to win the match by 4-1.

Ali Nafiu opened the scoring in the 16th minute and Fasir scored his hat trick later on the game. Victory’s only goal came from Omodu just few minutes before the first half.

Victory’s Omodu created the first chance of the game from a good header inside the box, which went inches away from the post.

Ali Nafiu broke the deadlock for TC Sports from descent shot inside the box, which hits the roof of the net.

Ali Fasir doubled the lead after a defensive mistake from Victory defenders. He controls the ball and shot it into the far bottom corner of the net.

Omodu changed the score to 2-1 in the 36th minute a wonderful header inside the box.

Ali Fasir increased the margin for the second time in the last minute before the break after beating the keeper and put it into an empty net.

Keeper Imran was forced to stop a good shot from Furugan in the 56th minute.

Ali Fasir scored his first hat trick of the season and also the first hat trick of Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League in the 65th minute from a penalty. Referee awarded them a penalty when Fasir was brought down inside the box.

Keeper Imran saves the penalty from Omodu in the 75th minute. Referee awarded a penalty to Victory when Ahmed Abdulla touches the ball inside the box.

Omodu tested keeper Imran in the 76th minute from a wonderful shot out side the box.

In the 87th minute keeper Imran made another outstanding save to stop the shot from Omodu.

Club Eagles will play against Club Valencia tonight at 2100 hours.

Could this be the season when finally a seasoned giant of Maldivian football gets relegated? Victory look like a very poor side this year, which is a shame considering that last year they appeared to be back on track.
