Kitchee beats New Radiant

Male’, MALDIVES – Hong Kong’s Kitchee won their match against New Radiant by 2-0 in today’s game in the group F match of AFC Cup in the National Football Stadium, Male. Spanish striker Rufino scored a brace against New Radiant in their home ground.

With this win Kitchee moved to the second position of the table. In the other match of this group Kaya FC won their match against Balestier Khalsa by 3-0.

Kitchee started the game very well and dominated the game for the most of the time.

Spanish forward Rufino opened the scoring in the 16th minute from a descent shot inside the box without giving any chance to the New Radiant keeper before he puts into the net.

In the 28th minute New Radiant made an early substitution after the introduction of young striker Muslih to replace experience midfielder Ahmed Niyaz.

Rufino doubles the lead in the half hour mark from another superb chip shot inside the box.

In the 66th minute referee gave marching orders to New Radiant keeper Sulemana for touching the ball out side the box and Fairooz was introduced to the match.

In the 82nd minute Rufinho tested keeper Fairooz from a close range shot. Keeper Fairooz blocked it.

A minute later, Harima hits the cross bar from a wonderful shot just out side the box.
