AMIN wins the bid

Male’, MALDIVES – AMIN Construction has today won the upgrading project of National Stadium and Zone Stadium in Addu City, Hithadhoo for the AFC Challenge Cup for MVR 71.5 Million (USD 4.63 Million).

In a ceremony held at Velaanaage Building, Minister of Human Resources, Youth and Sports Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal signed on behalf of government of Maldives while, Managing Director of AMIN Construction, Abdulla Mohamed signed on their behalf.

After the signing ceremony, Minister Maleeh Jamaal requested the company to finish the work before the deadline and they will do everything possible to host the tournament.

“We will do everything possible to host the tournament here in the Maldives. This tournament is hugely involved in the youth of this country and we will not let them down due to this.” Maleeh said.

Meanwhile, Abdull Mohamed said that they are confident that they can finish the project before the deadline.

“This is a big challenge for us. But we are confident that we can finish the project before the deadline. We have finished the Fuahmulah Airport project and Addu Convention Centre project within a very short period of time. So from those experiences we can finish this project as well.”

AMIN Construction Company proposed to finish the project within 90 days.

The draw for the eight-team will take place at the Paradise Island Resort in the Maldives on Wednesday, February 12.
