Stop negative support – Balak

New Radiant chairman Ali Waheed urged the supporters to stop negative support.

Male’, MALDIVES - New Radiant chairman Ali Waheed (Balak) urged club supporters to stop “negative support” and be more professional in supporting the club.

Speaking at New Radiant night held at Dharubaaruge, Balak said the club with a new management is heading to become a more professional club and they have fulfilled the need of supporters and now the club is requesting a favour in return.

“In two years we have won all the tournaments. Insha allah, New Radiant will be a profitable club at the end of this season and now club kits and other merchandize will be available for all the supporters. Now I want to ask a favour from the fans. Please stop negative support, support the club support the players, just like the club is trying to become professional supporters need to be more professional and being the club at the top we must show this example to other clubs”

“It is not acceptable to see fans crossing the rostrum to attack their opponents, New Radiant supporters became victim of such events but I want our supporters to show more professionalism. The era of throwing things to the field and abusing the players is gone, we have to be more professional” Balak added.

During his speech Balak also thanked all the sponsors and other contributors of the club. He also assured the club will do anything to win Dhivehi League and President’s Cup this year.

“Our board is ready to make any necessary changes to make sure we win Dhivehi League and President’s Cup. President’s Cup is a 90 min game, so I think the supporters have a huge role to make this possible”

Sorry Balak (self proclaimed) but u have not won all. Get your statistics right at least. But never the less. Appreciate what u gave done with the team. It's high time someone from new radiant accept that the need to ask their supporters to be professional. After all, they r the reason y we lost a home geld tournament to Sri Lanka.
