Trivandrum, INDIA – Sri Lanka clinch an important three points against Nepal after beating them by 1-0 in the dying minutes of the opening game of 2015 SAFF Suzuki Cup. Mohamed Rifnas scored the only goal.

Nepal came to this tournament leaving five key players of the national team due to suspension of the recent match fixing scandal.

But the Nepalese players played really well and created good goal scoring opportunities unfortunately they failed to convert those chances to a goal.

Nepal team changed their jersey from Red to Blue due to difficulties as the Sri Lankan team used Maroon colour.

In the last minute of the extra time Rifnas Mohamed scored from a brilliant shot inside the box when Nepal players failed to clear the ball from the danger zone.
