Jayapura, INDONESIA – New Radiant Sports Club was beaten by Indonesian Super League champions Persipura Jayapura by 3-0 in today’s AFC Cup group E match.

New Radiant started the game very well and created some good chances within the first 20 minutes. But in the 43rd minute referee awarded a penalty for Persipura Jayapura for a foul committed by Shafiu inside the box and Jayapura’s captain Ian Kabes broke the deadlock.

In the second half Jayapura’s Imanuel Wanggai doubled the lead. Jayapura’s third goal came just five minute after the second goal from Wanggai.

New Radiant striker Mohamed Umair did not travel with the team and Ibrahim Fazeel replaced him against Jayapura.

New Radiant lost two away games against Jayapura as well as Churchill Brothers and won the match against Home United by 1-0 at home.

It was the day when Dhagey left New Radiant when they started to taste the defeat. Sad but true.

Well, they have not replaced Dhagey. The initial replacement got tragically involved in a car accident, the next one failed to live up to expectations. And now Umair is injured. This means they don't have a natural centre forward anymore.

That is true. But we all have to agree that there is no club in Maldives that can replace Ashfaq. A talented player like him wont even think of comming here, let alone the huge money that we have to pay for such a player!!?? Anyway, i do not think the poor performance of new radiant is ONLY due to lack of a good replacement. I believe lack of comppetitive matches wil play a huge role in these losses. The players are not serious enough, just go and watch a practice session of new or Maziya. They do not seem to be that serious!!! I am very worried about the delay of DDL, this means our NT will be going to Challenge cup without out competitive match experience!!! And i do not know how DDL will be played now; May will have Challenge Cup, June-July will have world Cup. This means we have just 6 months for this year football calendar!!!! I really do not know how FAM can manage this time when we all knew how "capable" they are in maganing things!!!!!

Poor poor menagement. ...why they didn't keep Kingsley this season? Why they brought defender who can't play even local level? What happened with the coach position (when Garcia came they talked big things, Real Madrid gay will change our football, he is very good coach and after almost two months they release him speaking he is not good coach). Now new coach only for two months, just want to ask, what any coach can do for two months? The menagement taking wrond decisions one after another.
