Kathmandu, NEPAL - Maldives coach Istavan Urbanyi has said that he was not surprised with the first half performance.
Speaking at the post match press conference, Urbanyi said that he told the players that this is going to be a tough encounter.
"I told the players this is going to be a difficult game after the amazing start scoring ten goals. I was not very surprised with what happened in the first twenty minutes and the first half"
Although first half ended in a 2-2 draw, Urbanyi had confidence that team will perform well. He believes that the team has capacity to win the match.
"The team has of course enough quality and capacity" expressed his confidence over the team.
The Hungary coach said that he took the second forty five minutes as a new match. And asked the players to take the second half as a new game.
"I told the players lets take the next 45 minutes as a new game and it was 6-0, quite impressive"
Urbanyi revealed the reason why he used Easa in the starting eleven.
"I brought him because he has quality and he has a long term injury. He is just trying to come back and I gave him a chance. it takes time. it was a simple test for him."
He also expressed disappointment on the pitch condition.
"To be honest, the field is getting horrible. day before it was kinda like wet now its muddy. And it's very very difficult to play."
Concluding he congratulate Bhutan team for the performance in the first half.
"Bhutan started very well, they put pressure and they score very nice goals. I just congratulate them"
