Blues finishes with a draw

Male’, MALDIVES – Champions New Radiant finished the league with a 1-1 draw against TC Sports Club tonight in the last match of Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League.

Rizuwan shocked the champions in the 7th minute from a thunderbolt shot inside the box from a rebounded ball when keeper blocked their first attempt on target.

In the 16th minute referee gave marching orders to New Radiant skipper Ashad Ali for a foul on keeper Imran inside the box.

New Radiant’s Ahmed Abdulla leveled the game in the 51st minute from a good shot inside the box from a free kick by Rilwan.

In the 56th minute New Radiant’s keeper Alisher made a stunning save to stop the shot from Yameen.

In the 69th minute Ibrahim Ibrahim Waheed missed another good chance to take the lead for the second time.

New Radiant won the league with 33 points from 14 games. Second placed TC Sports got 29 points from 14 games.
