Male', MALDIVES - Former Liverpool U18 starlet David Moli has signed for Maldives champions New Radiant for the upcoming season, according to some reliable sources.

But no official comment was made from the club regarding the new signing. An official from the club told maldivesoccer.com that details of new signings will be revealed via club website.

David Moli was signed by Liverpool from Lutton when Rafael Benitez was in charge of the Merseyside club. He made numerous appearances for Liverpool U18 team and also played for England U16 and U17. He scored against Scotland U16 on 31 March 2011 to help the England U16 to win Victory Shield for the 10th time.

The DR Congo born 6ft striker later played for Wolverhampton Wanderers and is joining New Radiant from English Conference side Borehamwood.

Blues have terminated the contract of all three foreign players they signed in January and also terminated contract of club captain Mohamed Umair on mutual consent.

After two defeats in the People's Cup the club issued a statement saying the management will not hesitate to make any decision to bring the club on track to success.

Earlier in January New Radiant chairman Balak said the club is targeting to reach the knockout stage of AFC Cup and that is the first target given by the club to coach Mika.

New Radiant is the only local club to have reached AFC Cup knockout stages. They reached the semi final and quarter finals of AFC Cup in 2005 and 2013 respectively.
