Male’, MALDIVES – Club Eagles has won ELL Mobile Youth Championship with a 100% winning record after beating Maziya Sports and Recreation Club by 1-0 today.

Maziya and Eagles had a balanced performance in the first half and created some good chances to break the deadlock.

Twenty one minutes into the second half Mohamed Muslih broke the deadlock from a wonderful strike. But few minutes later Maziya created a good chance and hit the wood work.

In the dying minutes of the game Maziya missed another good chance to level the game.

After the match Eagles coach Ahmed Shakir said that the main reason behind this success was the team work of all the players, officials and the management.

“The main reason for this success is the team work of the players, officials and event the management.”

Shakir also said that 10 players will play in the senior team and this will help them to motivate.

“Nearly 10 players will play in the senior team and this win will help them a lot when playing in the first division.”

Shakir, who will travel to Leipzig, Germany later this month to participate in the International Coaching Course (ICC) organized by the Sports Faculty of the University of Leipzig, also thanked their senior team head coach Ihusan Abdul Ghani (Saanthi).

Eagles won the fair play award and their four players; Ansar Ibrahim, Ahmed Rizwan, Ibrahim Mubeen Ahmed Rasheed and Ibrahim Labaan Shareef won the best four player awards.
