Important win for TC Sports

Male’, MALDIVES – TC Sports Club defeated United Victory by 2-1 today in the ongoing Ooredoo Dhivehi Premier League. Ali Fasir and Shamweel Qasim scored the goals for TC Sports. Rafael scored the only goal for United Victory.

TC Sports Club striker Naiz Ali tested United Victory keeper Mahmoud in the 4th minute from a wonderful shot inside the box.

Twelve minutes later, Ali Fasir made another good shot in inside the box but went over the bar.

Keeper Mahmoud was forced to make another save to stop the shot from Nizam in the 21st minute.

TC Sports Club’s Nizam hits the woodwork in the 28th minute. One of the best chances in the game.

Ali Fasir broke the deadlock in the 40th minute from a superb shot inside the six-yard box after beating the keeper.

Rafael Betim leveled the game in the 65th minute from a cracking free kick out side the box.

Shamveel Qasim took the lead for TC Sports in the 80th minute from a rebounded ball when keeper cleared the shot from Fasir.

With this win TC Sports lies on the third position of the table with 27 points. Club Eagles also got 27 points but they are on the second position with goal difference. League leaders Maziya got 31 points from 14 games.

BG Sports Club will play against Club Eagles tonight at 2100 hours.
