Asian Football Confederation (AFC) President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has stated that the higher expectations of AFC officials push them to work hard in order to make the aspired change in upgrading football in Asia at all levels.
Shaikh Salam said this during his meeting with presidents and officials of the South Asian Member Associations in Bahrain.
The meeting was part of the AFC President’s keenness to continue his communication with Member Associations from all over the continent and discuss ways to boost ties between the AFC and these federations for the development of football in Asia.
“Football in Asia featured stability in the previous period, thanks to the coordination from the MAs, and their keenness to continue cooperation with the AFC, in order to boost football in Asia”. Shaikh Salman said.
“The concept of stability has significantly contributed to providing a solid ground for the AFC to continue implementation of its development programmes, and creating new initiatives which are important for the member associations.”
Shaikh Salman also lauded the efforts of the South Asian MAs to develop the game in their respective countries, and asserted the AFC’s eagerness to continue providing all means of support to them at different levels, and work with them to further expand football in these nations.
